You've seen it, you've heard about it...the roof yard needs work! For several years now, the roof yard--where kids go for recess and phys ed--has been in dire need of repair. The surface material is breaking down and becoming uneven, which makes it difficult for the children to run and play.

The PTA is working with Kaufman Music Center to develop a plan to fix the roof. KMC and the SMS administration have done the research, identified the safest and most durable materials and put together a project proposal--one that will cost close to $55,000.

To help build a fund to support this project, we're auctioning off opportunities to purchase "a square foot of fun," at $100 each. Everyone who makes this purchase will be recognized with a listing on a plaque or other permanent recognition that will be displayed on one of the school walls.

So please, invest in a square foot of fun! The kids will thank you!
