Once a year, the Las Positas College Foundation holds an entertaining and celebratory fundraising event. The tenth annual BEST of the BEST Gala will be held April 27, 2013. It will be an evening of the BEST of the BEST in FUN, Performing Arts, gourmet food, fine local wine and distinctive signature cocktails. The evening will begin with the guests sampling Livermore Valley wines from 12 local wineries and delicious hors d'oeuvres presented by 10 exceptional Tri-Valley restaurants in the elegant Barbara Fracisco Mertes Center for the Arts on the Las Positas College campus. In addition, throughout the evening a no-host bar will serve a selection of BEST of the BEST Signature cocktails. Mid-way through the evening, the guests will move from the Pre-Show Reception to the theater for a Performing Arts Showcase featuring student presentations of dance, vocal, music and interpretive speaking. After the performances, the evening is to be capped off with a dessert and champagne celebration of the College.
