Join Matt Berman and Janice Toben for food and fun in Half Moon Bay. Drop off up to four (4) children in grades 3 to 8, with their bikes and helmets, at the Stone Pine Center in Half Moon Bay at 9:00 am. There they will have a breakfast of muffins, scones, and hot cider or cocoa at the HMB Coffee Company. Then they will bicycle along the Coastal Trail, traveling past beaches and over ocean-side bluffs to Pillar Point Harbor, stopping along the way to relax and build sand castles at one of the many almost-deserted beaches. They will have lunch at a harbor-side restaurant, after which parents will pick them up at 1:30 pm at the Harbor. All of the children must be capable of a moderate, mostly flat, 10-mile bike ride on paved bike trails. To be shceduled on a mutually agreeable day in May, June, early July, September, or October 2013, weather dependent.
