Description
Raise your paddle - and cast your line - to join the first ever Nueva Family Fishing Derby on Sunday, October 13, 2013, on Lake Chabot in Castro Valley, just 45 minutes from Nueva. As a winning bidder, you will enter one team of up to two adults and two kids into the tournament. Each team will get two fully equipped rods, all the necessary licenses and permits, and an introduction to basic fishing techniques from the park staff. From 9 am to 1 pm, your team will explore Lake Chabot in a fully loaded electric-powered fishing boat, where you'll compete with other Nueva teams to haul in the most fish. This will be a fun-filled day for the whole family! While the teams are on the lake, landlubbers in the family will enjoy games and activities onshore. And everyone will enjoy the weigh-in, the awards ceremony, and a BBQ lunch. By the way, there's no rule saying you can only bid once on this great event. If you have a large family or lots of friends, feel free to buy a second or third entry!
