Description

Does your garden need a little TLC? Aching for some fresh organic herbs and vegetables in your home-cooked meals? Consider the options: lettuce, arugula and bright red tomatoes for summer salads; spring peas, beans, squash or any of your favorites fresh from your own garden. Look no further - our 5th grade gardeners par excellence are here to help! This spring, parents and head gardeners Kim Miller and Laura Schoeffel will help plan and design a seasonal vegetable garden at your home. If your existing space is not enough, never fear - Nueva dads Mark Schoeffel and Charlie Ogden will build you a custom garden box. Then, on a mutually agreed upon date, the fifth graders will work in small teams to plant your garden. All seeds, cuttings and materials are included. Special gardening books will also be provided to guide you in the maintenance of your new vegetable garden. In a matter of weeks, you will be able to see, taste, and enjoy the fifth graders' efforts right on your table! Bon appetite! Special thanks to the Marren, Schoeffel, Ogden, Pemberton/Pakianathan, Ramanathan/Ramakrishnan, Bush-Peel, Hirschman, Shields and Venkatesan families for their support of this project.
