Description
"Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge. That's what we're doing." - Jimmy Wales.
Gil and Suzanne Penchina invite you to join them for a private dinner with Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia, the online non-profit encyclopedia considered one of the Internet's most popular websites. Listed in the "Scientist & Thinkers" section of the Time 100 and ranked by Forbes Magazine as a "Web Celeb," Jimmy Wales is an Internet entrepreneur, wiki pioneer, and technology visionary who also founded the Wikimedia Foundation and co-founded Wikia, a top 50 website. In 2012, Wales helped lead the largest online protest in history to stop the internet censorship bills, SOPA and PIPA. Four couples will have the opportunity to enjoy a lovely meal and lively dinner conversation with Jimmy Wales and Gil and Suzanne Penchina at one of Jimmy's favorite San Francisco restaurants.
Date is TBD depending on Jimmy's travel schedule (he resides in London). Winning bidder will work with the Penchina family to determine a mutually agreeable date sometime in the next 6 - 8 months.
