This is one of those wow wines! Allen Meadows, Burghound: 93 points. Naturally spicy but not exotic aromas with a hint of honey and a purity of fruit that is extraordinary that gives way to rich, round, surprisingly supple and forward yet very precise flavors that are certainly finer and a bit more nuanced than those of the Poruzots. From the nose to the mid-palate, this is wine of finesse and understatement yet the finish explodes like a grenade with almost painful intensity. Drink: 2010+.
