Description
Under the direction of artist and Nueva Mom Kay Young, the first grade class has assembled two framed, lacquer pieces of student-made perler bead artwork. The Friendship piece is a combination of boy and girl figures made out of perler beads. Each first grader designed a perler bead image depicting how they see themselves. The images were then placed by the artist in two circles (one within the other) that was then mounted on white lacquer and framed. The unframed size is approximately 36 x 36. The Hearts piece is a compilation of hearts. These have also been placed in circles and then mounted on black lacquer before framing. Unframed size is approximately 18 x 18.
