Matchbox: What makes a great pizza? Matchbox knows. They have an authentic wood-fired masonry stove that is constantly lit to produce intense heat needed to produce awesome crispy crust. And it's more than just a pizza place. Matchbox serves bistro-type food as well. Worth the trip if only to feel the fun and spunky vibe in these restaurants. Ted's Bulletin: Their newspaper-like menu features comfort food classics such as milkshakes, meatloaf and grilled cheese with tomato soup. Breakfast items such as short stack pancakes and home-made pop tarts are served all day. Located on Capitol Hill.
