Taylor will give you a personal tour of the house and answer questions about the designs and designers with the charm and wit he is known for.The 2013 Design House is the foremost annual residential design attraction in the region that brings together Washington DC’s top interior designers to transform and showcase a house using the best in today’s home renovation and design ideas. This year's house features 24 designers for the 14,000 sq. ft. home on Foxhall Road. A native of Maryland, Taylor Wells has been in the design field for nineteen years. In 1990, after renovating the interior of a classically designed 1920′s post office, he opened Taylor Wells Antiques. The antique business expanded to include interior design in 1994. In 2005 he opened At Home in Lewes in Lewes, Delaware specializing in casual furnishing, antiques and accessories for the beach and city as well as interior design consultation for the beach community. His design style, inspired by his love for antiques, is the careful blending of traditional and contemporary furnishings. Mr. Wells has participated in several Decorator Show Houses in Washington, Baltimore, Talbot County and the Design Center. His work has been featured in the Washington Post, the New York Times, Traditional Home and Washington Home + Design.
