The following is my "artist's statement." Kim Kordonowy

I painted "ScrewLoose Lautrec" with acrylic and covered him with patterned fabrics.  To finish, I added various screws and found objects.  I use this same technique in my current artwork.  I commit a composition to canvas, underpaint with acrylic, add a variety of patterned fabrics, and then paint layers of oil glazes.  The result can be images within images, while exploring patterns as texture, and the boundaries of color.
