Description
Winning bidder will spend one night in South Dakota with a black-footed ferret biologist searching the prairies for the endangered black-footed ferret. We will spend sunset to sunrise using spotlights to locate, capture and vaccinate black-footed ferrets on the Buffalo Gap National Grassland in southwestern South Dakota. The area is directly adjacent to Badlands National Park and 75 miles from the Black Hills and many other attractions (e.g. Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, Deadwood, etc.). Winning bidder is responsible for all travel to/from Wall, South Dakota and also for lodging and meals (in other words we will provide the black-footed ferret experience but they have to get there). Winning bidder may bring along one guest (total of two people). Not suitable for children. Safari date will have to be arranged with Prairie Wildlife Research and generally will occur in September or October.
