VIP tour of the maned wolf facility followed by a picnic at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (SCBI) in Front Royal, VA. Dr. Nucharin Songsasen, SCBI's Canid Specialist will lead the tour of the facility and tell stories of this fascinating species and conservation programs of the maned wolf and other endangered canids around the globe. SCBI is a 3,200-acre site in the Shenandoah Valley, where scientists and staff are engaged in multi-disciplinary research to recover endangered species, save habitat, and restore species to the wild. Tour for up to 6 people and will be arranged for mutually convenient dates and times.
