Welcome to Rustica, an independent, owner-operated, neighborhood bakery. We offer you a unique selection of breads, pastries and dessert tarts. Some of these may be new to you, others more familiar. Everything we bake is made with premium ingredients, from flavorful, consistent flours, to rich, cultured butter and a rich assortment of fruits, nuts and chocolates. We believe that the best baked goods are made using labor intensive processes, which include long dough fermentation times, hand-shaping and baking on a hearth stone. We don't believe in short cuts. The result is that our breads have full, complex flavors, a range of textures and a naturally longer shelf life.

Our approach to baking is simple. We focus on people, process and ingredients. Our goal is to achieve high quality products which emphasize taste, texture and seasonality. We are led by our head baker Tammy Hoyt. Under her direction we strive for not only excellence but also consistency.

This item can be shipped/mailed. The shipping and handling cost is NOT included in the final bid price. Gift Certificates and packages will be mailed the week of May 5, 2013.  Actual shipping and handling costs will be added to the final bid price. To avoid shipping/mailing fees, item may be picked up at the Fiesta de la Primavera on April 27th or other arrangements for pick-up can be made with Toni Chelikowsky.
