Description

Hermes is one of the premier fashion houses in the world.  No other brand has accrued the recognition, prestige or demand as Hermès.  Hermes scarves have universal recognition as symbols of elegance.

This authentic vintage Hermes silk jacquard scarf/carre, L'Instruction du Roy (en l'Exercice de Monter a Cheval), by Henri d'Origny was designed and first issued in 1970.  The inspiration and name for this absolutely gorgeous scarf came from an ancient French/German book of equitation, the art and practice of riding a horse, written by Antoine de Pluvinel in 1629.

As jacquard silk scarves are very expensive to produce, Hermes has  stopped making these exquisite scarves.  Lovely combination of blues, greens, golds and neutrals against the loveliness of jacquard silk in a rich salmon color.
