Description

Spend 4 days and 3 nights in a five bedroom, three bathroom home located on three luxurious acres on the Yorkshire moors near Haworth, West Yorkshire -- Wuthering Heights territory.

Fully catered, together with a traditional English high tea at Betty's, one of the most famous tea shops in England, or another local tea shop, and evening in a pub.

Visit Haworth parsonage and the quaint village.  Within easy reach of York, a historic city with magnificent cathedral; Skipton, a market town with a well preserved castle, the last royalist hold-out in the English civil war.  Nearby train station nearby provides easy access to London, a 3-hour train ride, and Edinburgh, Scotland, a 4-hour train ride.

Home is in a rural area with ducks, hens (so fresh eggs) and even a beehive (situated well away from the house) on the property.  It is on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which, unlike US national parks, is lived in, and contains lots of picturesque villages, as well as being prime walking country for anyone so inclined.  There are also lots of child-friendly things to do in the area, such as Skipton castle and Jorvik Viking Center at York, which was originally a Viking settlement.

Hosts will be happy to feed you and guide you around, or leave you on your own.  The choice is totally yours!

Special Instructions

  • Owners are a British / American couple who will be your hosts to whatever extent you desire.  Guests are welcome to dine with hosts for any or all meals, or none at all.  (Vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals alike are no problem at all).

  • Offer is for four guests to stay for 4 days and 3 nights, with as many meals as guests want to eat with hosts, including a meal at a local restaurant, and a trip for tea.

  • Homeowner's bedroom and bathroom is in a separate wing downstairs.

  • Upstairs, in the main house, there is a full bathroom (bath, washbasin, toilet), separate shower room, and separate toilet, all of which would be for the guests' exclusive use during their stay.  There are two guest bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double. There is also an additional small single bedroom.  Home has a large living room, dining room, and eat-in kitchen with traditional York stone flagged floor.

  • Fully equipped house, with wifi.
