Award winning artist Linda Richichi has exhibited extensively, including the prestigious National Arts Club in New York City with the Pastel Society of America, and a solo exhibit at the Karpeles Library Manuscript Museum in Newburgh, NY. Her work has traveled recently around the US and Canada. In September 2006, Richichi was awarded the Best of Show Ontario Purchase Award, at the International Plein Air Painters (I.P.A.P.) Special Instructions
Painting measures 16" x 12" and includes stand pictured in photo.
Painting “en plein air” (“in open air” on location) is an opportunity for me to work in nature and connect to our source. It is my intention to capture the brilliance of creation and a love of life. Using all the senses, including intuition, I work to transfer this experience onto my canvas. Color is used in a way to recreate the same feelings in my heart that are felt on location.
~ Linda Richichi
Her evocative plein air paintings express an intense response to observed nature, while her dynamic abstractions reflect a passionate energy and masterful sense of form.
~ Dennis Wepman, Art Curator of Karpeles Library Manuscript Museum
