Uniquely designed and detailed vintage enameled flower brooch. Measures 2" across.  This impressive orchid was made in the French Plique a Jour technique as the enamels have a rich pearly satin texture and are finished with a thick clear coat. The petals are trimmed in polished ruffled gold metal. The enamels are translucent coral orange, deep teal, and a touch of deep royal blue at the center.  

From the 1970s, this orchid flower pin is not signed, but you can tell that it was most likely designer made by Pierre Bex of France. Pierre Bex did not sign most of his jewelry but it is easy to identify by the tell tale cross hatch pattern on the back.  The back is finished in polished gold metal with the Pierre Bex hatch pattern.
