Description

Unique abstract Mexican Silver Art Deco Ring with what appears to be gold plating added as extra design feature.  This vintage sterling silver ring is signed by designing silversmith and sterling quality stamped.   Top measures 1.5" long and .75" wide.  It is size 9 to 10 (best guess) and probably meant to be worn on index finger or finger other than ring finger. Made in Mexico it is marked with TS-15 925 MEXICO on inside. See photo 2 on the listing.

The markings indicate it was made in the city of Taxco by the 15th smith with surname beginning with S to register in the city's assay office. Ring is most probably from the 1980's. The 925 indicates amount of silver per 1000th and is sterling quality.  The gold overlay would have been of equal quality done over sterling silver.

Wonderful piece of vintage Mexican Silver Jewelry!
