As a pure expression of mountain grapes our 2003 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is
redolent with notes of blackberry, cherry, dark chocolate, and red currants
laced with exotic spices and hints of cigar box. The palate greets you with a
lush rendering of the same ripe red fruit and dark cocoa. Balanced with a long,
firm finish, this Cabernet develops multiple layers on the palate while fully
coating the mouth. Full bodied and effusively flavorful this wine is both supple
and elegant promising youthful delight and maturing beauty. Decant to release

The multitude of top quality lots with distinctly different attributes allows us to be extremely selective in making the final blend. The result is a true Estate Cabernet Sauvignon that reflects the unique growing conditions of the Spring Mountain growing district.

2009 Steele Cabernet Sauvignon

Thie rich Cbernet Sauvignon was produced by the Red Hills Vinyard in the Clear Lake appellation of Lake County. Andy Becksoffer. for decades one of Napa Vallet's premier grape growers, years ago recognized this area as an outstanding location for the growong of excellent red grapes. Situated in the mountains of Lak County, The Red Hills Vinayard has deep, dark red volcanic soul with copious specks of beautiful black obsidian strewn thoughout.These deposits of "black glass" cause the surface of the vineyard to apparently glitter on clear sunny days.
