Love to ski? Hike? Fly fish? Choose any season for your 10-day stay in this comfortable Norwegian "hytte" (cabin) in the village of Hemsedal located at the Hemsedal Ski Resort.

Winter

The hytte is just a short walk to the ski slopes. The ski area features:




  • Access to miles of groomed trails.

  • Off-piste backcountry terrain, easily accessible for all. 

  • Children's area with 4 poma lifts, 2 magic carpets, half pipes, jumps and inflatable landing strips; fire pits for roasting hot dogs, and fun little race courses.

  • Wonderful daycare on the mountain - very flexible and reasonably priced. 



Additionally, there are over 100km of nordic trails around the Hemsedal mountains. Some are ski-in, ski-out of the hytte, others are just a short, 10-minute drive away.

Summer, Spring and Fall

Summer, spring and fall are also beautiful times to visit Hemsedal. With breathtaking scenery, the mountains provide endless opportunities for outdoor recreation.



  • Hiking - enjoy a wide variety of trails and terrain.

  • Norway is world renowned for its spectacular fly fishing.

  • Enjoy golf and mountain biking in the summer and fall.

  • Visit nearby Bergen - a beautiful, historic, coastal fishing community. The 4-hour train ride or drive through the mountains and fjords to reach Bergen is incredible.



Accommodations


The hytte offers 4 bedrooms and a loft - it comfortably accommodates 2 families (up to 4 adults and 8 children).



  • 4 bedrooms plus loft: 2 with queen beds; 2 have bunks with a double on the 1st level and a single on the 2nd; loft has 2 twin beds. 

  • 2 bathrooms: one with a shower, the other has a tub/shower.

  • Stunning views of the surrounding mountains from the open and comfortable family/living space - also offers a wood-burning fireplace; TV with CD/DVD player (although getting it to work in the mountains can be tricky!).

  • Open kitchen is comfortable for entertaining - there is dining/seating for 10. 

  • Ski-storage/ski-tuning room

  • Wood for the woodstove and plowing are provided.



Travel Information
The area is 3.5 hours from Olso's Gardermoen Airport. The Skaane's tend to fly to Gardermoen on Iceland Air, but all airlines service Gardermoen as it is a major, international airport and has been named Europe’s most punctual airport four times by the AEA (Association of European Airlines)! Bus service to Hemsedal from Gardermoen is available, but renting a car is a better option as you will want the flexibility to grocery shop, sightsee, etc.

Live Auction items and certificates will be available to be picked up the night of the event. Or, winners may pick up their item(s) and/or certificate(s) in the upstairs PA Office during the week of April 29 - May 3. Please stop by during the following hours:
