Cheese 101 with 5th Grade's own Lauren Obregon

Item Number: 341
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
For anyone who thinks cheese should be its own food group, this evening is for you!
Calling all cheeselovers! Whether you're an Epoisses de Bourgogne expert or a Roquefort rookie, Cheese 101 is the place to be. Lauren Obregon - our own Brookwood cheesemonger - will walk you through a tasting of different families of cheese. Get to know their characteristics and nuances - fresh to bloomy, washed-rinds to the ubiquitous blue. You will get a great overview.
Lauren knows her cheese - she teaches a graduate-level cheese course at Boston University. Here is an opportunity to learn from an expert - right in your own kitchen! She will ensure that you have the knowledge you need to approach even the most daunting cheese counter to create a perfect cheese course for your next soiree.
Every cheese has a story, and we'll explore many, as you enjoy wine and some favorite accompagnements. Fromage anyone?
Open to current Brookwood families only.
