Growlers are truly a green way to buy beer. Because they can be refilled over and over, there is no packaging waste going into landfills. Some people prefer the taste of draft beer over bottled, and the beer that fills the growlers is straight from the tap. There are often seasonal or limited release beers available at the brewery that can’t be purchased in bottles elsewhere, so the growler is the convenient way to take some home.
