During the past 30 years, Plano--based Chamberlain School of Performing Arts has earned a reputation as the principal pre--professional ballet school of north Texas by providing outstanding dance training in the classical tradition. Each year the school's students are awarded scholarships to prestigious colleges and universities as well as summer study scholarships with elite ballet companies around the country. Founder and Artistic Director, Kathy Chamberlain, is an internationally recognized figure in the world of classical ballet and is a former recipient of the prestigious Ford Foundation Scholarship to the School of American Ballet -- the official School of the New York City Ballet.
