Mama's Royal Cafe serves breakfast, lunch & brunch seven days a week. We opened our doors in February, 1974 on Broadway at 40th St., between the Temescal and Piedmont areas of Oakland.

We are dedicated to serving quality food made from the finest ingredients. We pride ourselves in using the best local products such as Niman Ranch meats, Acme bread, Petaluma eggs, Le Pique-Nique sausages, & Peerless coffee.

Whether you're celebrating the morning after with mimosa and eggs benedict or having a business lunch with a grilled chicken salad, Mama's Royal Cafe is the place to be.

After reading quite a few reviews, I decided to visit this place with my family a few days ago, and honey let me tell you they lived up to the hype. I got the N.Y. Sharp Cheddar and Applewood Smoked Bacon Omelet, which included their DELICIOUS HOME-STYLE POTATOES, Oooo so crispy, your choice of toast (got the sourdough, w/ strawberry preserves yummm), and fresh fruit, which I didn't even eat, because I had so much food.) Along with a hot chocolate. 

One family member got an egg white mushroom etc omelet (which also came with the aforementioned extras) and some coffee (which were both said to be better than another chain restaurant which they love!) And my other family member got their waffle, A.S.B. (Applewood Smoked Bacon) and eggs. And from the bite I got to taste, that waffle was as close to Roscoe's as one can get without actually going there.

Got to give a quick shout out to"Dee" our waitress who gave us the 411 on what to get, and who's great smile and tips made the whole morning just feel a little warmer. (Cause that morning booooyyyyyy was it windy and cold outside!)

If you are looking for a great sit-down breakfast place for yourself and/or family and friends, guess what? You just found it! 

P.S. It's cash only, but park on the side streets, to at least enjoy free parking. :)
