Cousins Travis and Ryan Croxton, recipients of the 2005 Food & Wine Magazine “Tastemaker’s Award,” are owners of Rapphannock Oyster Co which sell upwards of 80,000 oysters a week to the half-shell market, including chef Eric Ripert’s Le Bernardin and Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio. The Croxtons have been held in high regard in the food industry for their sustainable farming techniques which result in a healthier aquatic environment and superior tasting oysters.
