Description
Wiliam Ngendadumwe, one of the founders of Ivuka (Ivuka = Birth) Arts Studio, has been instrumental in fostering the grand revolution in visual arts seen in Kigali in the past six years.
William began painting sign posts, and went on to comics, for which he has won awards. He was given his first set of oils in 1997. His work has been exhibited at, among other places, the American embassy in Kigali and in Japan, Now he travels throughout Africa teaching classes in the relationship between music and art. His style of painting was at first realistic, but he has moved to abstract and cubist styles.
This acrylic painting is just under 3 feet by 4 feet, framed.
