Painted photograph by respected photographer, Susan Fiol, whose work appears in the permanent collections at the Art Institute of Chicago and The Brooklyn Museum.
New York artist photographer Suzanne Fiol (May 9, 1960 - October 5, 2009).
This painted photograph is signed but undated. She "cultivated a style that superimposed layers of paint over her original photos in an attempt to capture the ecstatic moment of her subject matter." The view is the back of her husband Joaquin Fiol.
Suzanne Fiol is chiefly remembered as the Founder and Director of Issue Project Room, which has been a vibrant experimental music scene since 2003.
