After learning about the Roaring 20s, Room 212 students recreated a piece of the frieze of the Seattle Exchange Building to form the background of this fabulous Art Deco piece. Studying the light, medium and dark tones, each student used pearlescent watercolors to create a unique brick to add to the background. Capturing the spirit and decadence of the times, students collaged a 1920s flapper woman in the middle of the artwork. Students show off their new cursive skills on the back of each piece with their signatures and descriptions of the era.
