Registration for two golfers for Bill Bentley Memorial Golf Tournament on

On Monday, July 15, Temple Emanu-El, together with Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, will present the 6th Annual Bill Bentley Memorial Golf Tournament. The event will be held at the renovated Great Neck Country Club (formerly the New London Country Club) in Waterford. Over the past five years, the tournament has raised over $130,000. 50% of those funds have supported our Temple's youth services, including numerous camperships, trips to Israel, NEFTY and TEFTY event participation, the library's computer, and the entire budget supporting the aides at Religious School. The other half suports L&M's Community Cancer Center's Patient Care Fund.

In 2005 Bill was taken from his family and friends at the age of 45 following his battle with cancer.
As a devoted and loving husband, father, son and brother, Bill lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed biking, boating, golf, the New England Patriots, cooking gourmet dinners, drinking fine wines and sharing great jokes.
This memorial golf tournament will celebrate Bill’s life as well as ensure that his memory provides a living legacy for others. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the two non-profits (L&M and Temple Emanu-El) that were closest to Bill’s heart.
