This 6"x6" trivet will make a useful and great conversation piece for your coffee table, dining room table or kitchen counter. It has felt pads on the back and it is in memory of Boots, a wonderful loving feline who one day became paralyzed in his rear legs. Boots was in Des Moines to a specialist for several weeks, and his paralysis was progressive, as it was polyarthritis, a non reversable condition. Never-the-less, C & W staff work diligently with him several times a day, took him weekly for laser therapy at a vet 50+ miles away and sometimes twice a week. He loved all of the attention, did not suffer, but nearly a year later, we said goodbye to our sweet boy Boots. His last week was spent along the Mississippi river with one of his caregivers who took him on vacation with her. He is pictured on the trivet on vacation with Terri, looking like he was on top of the world. And he was. He loved his 'vacation' and when he passed we knew he had lived as fully a life in spite of his paralysis and was such a courageous and wonderful kitty. They all teach us so much about living with unexpected challenges in our own lives.
