This Thorin's Map Parchment Art Print has die-cut edges to add to the authenticity and is one of a range of Middle-earth maps from Weta... and signed by Peter Jackson!
Every great adventure needs a treasure map and in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the map was created by Thror, grandfather of Thorin Oakenshield. It contains not only the lay of the land, but also detailed instructions. Some clear as day, some concealed.
Designed and drawn by Daniel Reeve of the 3 Foot 7 art department who created the original prop for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Weta's map has been made from a scan of the original and printed in Middle-earth (New Zealand) on finest Italian Marina Conchiglia parchment paper.
The famous Moon Runes, that play an important part in the story, have been printed in a layer of high gloss varnish on the otherwise matt surface. This is almost impossible to see in the product photographs and even to the naked eye it can be hard to spot, but in the right light they're visible and legible.
If you read Dwarven runes, of course.
