The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention recommends that young athletes undergo an annual concussion baseline test, and even more frequently if an athlete has sustained a concussion.  Baseline testing is a preseason exam conducted by Fyzical licensed therapists.  Baseline tests are used to help assess an athlete's balance and brain function, as well as assess the presence of any concussion symptoms.
