'Romantic Provence -Pinks' by French Painter Fuji Tsang on watercolor paper - lovely!

For the past thirty years, Fuji Tsang has traveled around most of the Mediterranean, experiencing the customs of different places, the diversity of religious beliefs and philosophies. With such a profound knowledge of European culture and a deep interest in Chinese culture, this French painter attempts ultimately to integrate the romanticism at the heart of these eastern and western landscapes.

In his painting, Tsang depicts the natural scenery of Provence by using Chinese painting techniques. He always reveals in his works influence from Chinese ink painting and Chinese calligraphy. In most cases, he uses watercolor paper and oil painting paper as he believes such materials guarantee a greater flexibility in the choice of techniques he can use.
