This Apothecary Scale was featured on page 3 of Troemners 1899 catalog and originally sold for $10.95. It features a wood base made of seasoned ash and a Tennessee marble top which was polished by hand with putty and pumice.  The pans are nickel-plated brass. The weights along with this scale are not original.  Troemner, originally from Germany, is known as one of the first scale manufacturers in the United States as they were renowned for their procision and accuracy.
