Big Blue Heron and Fiddler Crab print

Description
A framed copied print of a "Big Blue Heron and Fiddler Crab" that was originally done by James "Mac" McConnell Anderson. It is a wonderful example of the Anderson brothers' legacy. It is 15 1/2" x 19 1/4" and is enclosed in a black frame with cream matte. The blue heron and fiddler crab are characteristic coastal life of southern Mississippi.
This print was purchased at Shearwater Pottery in Ocean Springs, MS., April 2013 specifically for this auction. Shearwater Pottery was established in 1928 by the late Peter Anderson. In 1930 he was joined by his two brothers, the late Walter Inglis Anderson and the late James McConnell Anderson. Each brother is a famous artist in his own right. Every fall in Ocean Springs there is the widely known Peter Anderson Festival, in honor of Peter Anderson, which is highly sought after by exhibitors during which to display their wares. Also in Ocean Springs is the Walter Anderson Museum....who perhaps is the most well-know of the brothers.
