Gourmet Cuisine in Bend’s Newest Westside Neighborhood Bar

While Bend residents wonder whatever happened to Player’s, Matt Neltner (owner/former executive chef of Deschutes Brewery and Kokanee Cafe), Jill Moore (owner/Front of the house manager/beverage manager), and Josh Maquet (principal owner of the Astro Lounge) were already acting on their vision.

With an almost unbelievable transformation of the establishment, Blue Pine Kitchen and Bar will be a westside destination, featuring live music (Jazz, Blues, Funk, Bluegrass amongst other local favorites) and an eclectic menu developed by Matt which includes a few bold items not normally found in a Bend restaurant. Items include:

• The Burger: House ground beef tenderloin, brisket and chuck with cheddar cheese and bacon jam


• Shiitake Mushroom Pancakes: Shiitake mushrooms, roasted corn, and fresh basil in a savory pancake with reduced balsamic syrup and sun-dried tomato butter


• Frog Legs: Grilled creole frog legs with garlic aioli


• Boar Sloppy Joe: Ground boar with peppers and onions in rich tomato sauce on oregano french toast

Blue Pine offers over 300 bottles of beer, wine, and liquor as well as 19 taps including 2 Nitro. Over 20 wines by the glass are offered behind the bar, where Edison lights hang
