Each child of Mr. G's class helped prepare and decorate a Sonobe Origami Cube using Red, White and Blue paper. For timeless memory, each cube contains a secret note that was inserted before the cubes were folded closed. Every child was asked to finish the sentence "My favorite thing about KG this year was..." The cubes are arranged in a matrix and can be rotated to create four different art pieces. One arrangement represents the American flag, the second is a full class portrait, the third is an anagram with the childrens names, and the forth is a fun version with their favorite stickers on it. This art project incorporates origami, patterns, and celebrates the individuality of the children, who come together to make a beautiful PS 199 American family.
