Using the ancient art form known as Decoupage, the children of Ms. Becker's created a unique piece of art that reflects our their view of their world, their city, in third grade at PS199, in the year 2013. They collected clippings from magazines, newspapers, and other memorabilia, that have meaning to them and represent this current time in their lives. With Ms. Becker's help, we curated their clippings and they all became Decoupeurs in the creation of a beautiful collage applied to an empty magnum-size bottle. As a final touch, they each placed a message, a wish for the future, inside the bottle which will be sealed up as a time capsule until the year 2026.
