Description

You are bidding on a glazed ceramic slab "All Hands" bowl made of cut-out hand shapes that was created the 1st grade art students at GRACE Christian School.

Under the supervision of Art teacher Merrily Boyd, this lovely piece has been created with the help of each student in the first grade.

First grade students in each class traced their hand onto a thinly rolled slab of clay, into which they stamped and carved their name and other designs.  They cut out their hand shapes, which were attached together to make one large bowl.  Just as each of us can contribute our own unique gifts to make up the body of Christ, this piece shows the variety and uniqueness of each student's individual piece and how, when combined, all the pieces work together to make something bigger and with a greater purpose than each on its own (1 Corinthians 12).  Each student helped glaze to create a shiny finished bowl.

This one-of-a-kind item will be cherished as a lasting memory of each 1st grade class.
