Description

The "Mountain Moonwalk" is one of Hawk Mountain's most popular events.  A public program takes place monthly under a full moon when a Hawk Mountain Educator leads a group on a trail hike to listen and look for night sounds and sights. It's a fun and informative way to learn about creatures of the night and walk the Sanctuary's trails at a time of day when the trails are closed to general visitation.

This private event will take place the day before or after a full moon for up to 10 people.  Continue the party with a tour of the newly renovated Education Building and enjoy a glass of wine or hot chocolate as you carry on discussion with our knowledgeable educator.

This Live Event Item offers Absentee Bidding.

Special Instructions

Event will take place at a mutually agreeable time between winning bidder and educator.  Winning bidder and guests will meet at Hawk Mountain prior to sunset and should expect to walk a minimum of one to two hours, with a short reception following.

Must be 12 years of age or older to take part and be able to walk on the Hawk Mountain Lookout Trail.   Guests should bring a flashlight, wear appropriate clothing (layers in cooler weather) and hiking boots or sneakers.
