This unique hanging mobile is made up of wood from Finland.  This wood, called "Masure" is from the birch family and it is believed the markings on the wood are from larva that live and burrow into it, leaving their casts behind.

Winning bidding will receive a gorgeous contemporary-styled metal and wood mobile donated by the local sculpture, Jeff Kahn.
