Description
Handknotted carpet from Oriental Rug and Carpet. Qashqai in design, this heavy, bright, charming Azerbaijani carpet includes tree of life design as well as animal totems, vases, flowers and sleeping herd border. It is approximately 45 years of age and well and densedly constructed of 100% wool in a double knot technique. It measures 2'8" x 5' and would be ideal in a small foyer, at bedside or next to a favorite reading chair.

This is a tribal piece in excellenct condition. Ideally it should have a pad beneath it, rubber backed and felt topped, in order to provide the greatest support for its longevity.
