Description
A Vermont-hearty running bamboo with green culms and a yellow vertical groove. It is edible and has excellent winter foliage. Will turn to "Beige" color in late winter after a severe cold snap but is usually lovely until after Christmas.
Hardy to -20F. Our eight-year old plantings reach 8'-12' in summer. Plant in full sun for best results but will tolerate some shade.
Special Instructions
This is a "running bamboo" which means it must be planted with containment in mind, as left alone it will spread rapidly! However, it is easily contained.
