This is Chardonnay at its finest.  Stripped down to the bare essentials. Unadorned by flashy new oak, this elegantly balanced Mendocino County Chardonnay is as fresh and pure as they come.  There is no need for yeasty, buttery flavors of popcorn or crème brûlée.  Such additions would be superfluous here as the 2009 Orsianna Chardonnay is packed with an abundance of naturally fresh fruit flavors.  Crisp Bosc pears almost leap from the glass, closely followed by a wisp of gardenia and white tea. The flavors are bold and pronounced but coexisting in perfect harmony.  Honeydew and tangerine blossoms are present from start to finish and together with the dominant flavors of tree orchard fruit are the perfect ending to an exemplary wine.
