As a screenwriter, Armstrong is credited on The Hangover Part II, Old School, Road Trip, Semi Pro, Starsky & Hutch, School for Scoundrels and The Heartbreak Kid. He also did uncredited work on both Elf and Bad Santa. This spring he made his directorial debut with the Universal/Gold Circle comedy Search Party.

He was executive producer of the television series Best Friends Forever and Animal Practice, and he produced the pilot Off Duty and the independent feature Hesher. Upcoming projects include Will, The Coward, Fired & Expelled, The Boyfriend and First Man.

Originally from Chicago, Armstrong studied improvisational comedy under Del Close at the Improv Olympic, trained at the Second City and has been with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater since its inception. Scot lives with his wife Kerry and his two children along with their three rescue dogs in the Los Feliz Hills of Los Angeles.

In between laughs, perhaps you can even discover the inspiration behind some of this iconic comedian's most notable works.
