Polish your child's writing skills with one semester-long after-school workshop or a week-long half-day workshop at Writopia Lab in Manhattan.

Students choose their genre then spend the sessions brainstorming, writing, and workshopping with time for fun and productive writing games too.  Popular choices include humor, realistic fiction, science fiction, fantasy, memoir, poetry, scripts, or journalism. Teens usually focus on completing one piece over the week, while younger writers sometimes write several stories.   

Sessions have a maximum of seven students and are led by a published writer or well-produced playwright. Graduates of Writopia's workshops have won national recognition in the Scholastic Art & Writing awards.
