Donna is an award-winning member of both the Cambridge and Newburyport Art Associations in MA.  Her work hangs in many private and public collections throughout the country. This 16x20 Oil on Panel is entitled "Shoreline" - The image is a view from Marconi Beach, Wellfleet, looking down the shoreline from the top of a magnificent sand dune in the of Summer 2012

Artist Statement     

Painting is my passion; it transports me to a peaceful place and renews my spirit. This sense of peace and tranquility are elements I try to capture and convey to the viewer.

Working primarily in oils, I combine my love of color and shapes, referencing my subject without allowing it to define my painting.  Through this process I give as equal importance to negative space as to the subject.  Color is primary; it reflects the mood of my painting. Through this technique I create pieces and patterns of color that speak more of the abstract than the representational. _________________________________________________________

Artist Information    

Donna received her education in fine arts at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA. Today she pursues a professional career in art, exhibiting in-group and solo shows.   Her work is represented at Chameleon’s Gallery Newburyport, MA, Vertical Peaks Gallery, Jackson Hole, WY, Bowersock Gallery, Provincetown MA/ Mount Dora FL and the  Lark & Key Gallery, Charlotte, NC.  She is an award-winning member of both the Cambridge and Newburyport Art Associations in Massachusetts.  Her work hangs in many private and public collections throughout the country.
