Fun, friendship, and humor abound in this nostalgic trip to Rydell High in 1959, complete with greasers, slumber parties, the hand jive, and lots of singing and dancing. Head greaser Danny Zuko and new, good girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the romance of their Summer Nights as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through Grease with such songs as Greased Lightnin, Its Raining on Prom Night and Youre the One That I Want recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack for an entire generation.
