The 1990 Delbeck Champagne received 94 points from Wine Enthusiast, who said that it was "Nutty and doughy, this amazingly complex offering mixes in plenty of citrus fruits, plums, and mineral and floral notes. The juxtaposition of creamy texture and delicacy of weight leaves you wondering, 'How do they do that?' It’s hard to believe such an ephemeral sip can carry so much flavor."

The Hans Kornell Champagne Cellers, which produced the Kornell Extra Dry California Champagne, has not been in existence since the 1990's.   Now known as Frank Family Vineyards, the vineyard continues production that creates still wines and sparklers à la méthode champenoise.  Of interest, The Frank Family Vineyards are co-owned by Rich Frank, who has an impressive resume in Hollywood:former chairman of Walt Disney Television, and Telecommunications, head of Buena Vista, president of Walt Disney Studios, president of the Paramount Television Group of Paramount Pictures, president of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, chairman and CEO of Comcast and so forth. In audience terms that translates to success with such hits as "Golden Girls," "Cheers," "Entertainment Tonight," "The Lion King," "Aladdin" and numerous others.  Since this bottle of champagne is over 20 years old, it is likely not drinkable, but may be of interest to someone who is a California Champagne buff for it's historical value.  It has not been included in the value for auction purposes.
